Forty-one.
That’s a new scoring record for a local player in the Asean Basketball League, courtesy of Bobby Ray Parks, Jr.
He dropped 41 points on Sunday to lead Alab Pilipinas to their second straight win.
And he got to 41 on just 20 shots, finishing the game with an impressive shooting clip of 80%. He hauled down 14 rebounds as well. And he did all that in front of his hometown crowd in Paranaque.

The head coach of the opposing team, Kaohsiung Truth, could only scratch his head after witnessing Parks go off and his team lose to Alab Pilipinas for the second time this season.
“He made 41 points with only two threes and less than 10 free throw attempts. Not much you can do against that,” said Kaohsiung coach Tyston Lawrence.
Parks admitted after the game that he was surprised when he saw the numbers he had on the stat sheet.
“I was just out there enjoying myself and trying to get another win with my teammates,” he said.
