Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent will be Australian boxer Jeff Horn, according to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.

In a report by ESPN Senior Writer Dan Rafael, Arum said Pacquiao (59-6-2) will defend his WBO welterweight championship against Horn (16-0-1) on April 22. The venue has yet to be determined but Arum told ESPN the fight might likely take place in Australia or in the United Arab Emirates.

BREAKING NEWS: Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told ESPN that he has an agreement in place with Duco Events for Manny Pacquiao to defend his welterweight world title against Australia’s unbeaten Jeff Horn. The bout will take place April 22 – during one of Pacquiao’s recesses from the Filipino senate — but the site has not been finalized, Arum said. He said the fight likely will take place in Australia or in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai or Abu Dhabi).

Once this becomes official, Horn — who won 11 of his 16 fights via knockout — will face a tough task of preventing Pacquiao from notching his 60th career victory.

Pacquiao last fought in November 5, 2016 — a win over Jessie Vargas by unanimous decision.
