After dropping two games against Singapore, Alab Pilipinas finally got things to go their way on the third try.
The Philippine team fended off the Slingers, 74-72, on Friday at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna.
Ray Parks Jr. carried Alab Pilipinas with 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists on a night where imports James Hughes and Sampson Carter combined for only 14 points.
Jeric Fortuna added 12 markers and 3 assists.
Xavier Alexander paced Singapore with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
Alab Pilipinas remains third in the league standings with a 4-2 record, while the Slingers hold a 7-2 win-loss card.
