Everybody is finally getting the final match they wanted.
Rafael Nadal beat Grigor Dimitrov, 6-3, 5-7, 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, in the semis to face arch-rival Roger Federer in the Australian Open final on Sunday.
After the match, Nadal said it is “a privilege” to be facing Federer in the Grand Slam championship match.
“It’s a very, very special thing for both of us to be in the final of a major again. We have another chance of competing against each other after a couple of years having some problems,” said Nadal.
The two last met at a Grand Slam final at the 2011 French Open. Nadal leads their head-to-head record 23-11.
