Nike enables Filipinos to get active and start training with Nike Training Club (NTC) classes in Manila.
Starting March 4, NTC classes will be held every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. and every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Kerry Sports Manila in Bonifacio Global City, enabling Filipinos to train with the best athletes and trainers using globally designed workouts to reach their individual fitness goals, catering to all fitness levels from beginner to advance.
“Progress is what separates exercising from training,” says Patrick Reyes, Country Marketing Manager, Nike Philippines. “Exercise is doing the same thing over and over and expecting results. Training is an adaptive plan that moves you toward your goal, no matter what that goal is. NTC enables you to train with a purpose and a goal with the best of Nike.”
Athletes can register for the NTC Classes at http://www.nike.com/manila. Athletes who attend NTC Classes during the month of March will be issued an NTC Passport, which will enable them to accumulate stamps to unlock exclusive Nike rewards.
Each area of focus within NTC requires specific training and expertise. NTC Strength aims for athletes to move more weight than their body weight alone, while NTC Mobility emphasizes moving well to perform your best, and NTC Endurance is designed to keep the heart rate up to improve the ability to work-out at a higher intensity level for a longer time period.
NTC trainers Lian Melegrito, Tanya Aguila, and Trish Ayson who were trained by Nike’s Global Master Trainers, will be leading the NTC Classes.
Lian competed as a member of the U.P. Pep Squad and was also part of the Philippine National Team for Cheerleading. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science and joined 360 Fitness Club as a strength and conditioning coach, personal trainer, and group exercise instructor. In 2015, she got an international certification as a Body Jam advance instructor from Les Mills Asia Pacific and recently earned her certification as a Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Lian hopes to encourage everyone to find their inner athlete through NTC.
NTC’s mobility expert, Tanya is an internationally certified Yoga teacher and founder of ONELIFE, a Pilates-based studio that has been consistently ranked amongst the top boutique fitness studios in the country. She is the first Balanced Body Bodhi Suspension Training Educator in Manila and is currently working towards becoming a Polestar Pilates Educator for the Philippines. Tanya believes that when one transforms one’s body, one changes their life.
As NTC’s endurance expert, Trish is both a business woman and a competitive athlete. She co-founded HIIT Philippines, is a certified coach of the American Council of Exercise, and is a Precision Nutrition Coach. She’s also a pioneer member of Girls Got A-Game, an organization that empowers underprivileged women through sport. Trish’s goal is to enrich Filipino lives one workout at a time.
